The owners have done a fantastic job renovating the place, preserving its history while adding modern touches. Every detail has been carefully thought through to maximize the space available. The location is perfect, right in the center of town with convenient parking. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen utensils to a coffee machine. The decor was beautiful and the layout cozy and cute. We enjoyed the romantic and private atmosphere, perfect for a birthday treat. The cleanliness was super clean, and the owners were friendly and communicated well. We highly recommend a stay at this lovely destination, especially if you love walking, exploring a pretty town, or just getting away for a treat. we had a fabulous experience and would definitely book again.

everything was wonderful, me and my dog enjoyed the stay. the apartment had prime location in the middle of the city. it was adjacent to the centre of matlock and shops and pubs.

They were pretty good too make our stay enjoyable. we were impressed with the cleanliness, facilities, parking, and location of this hotel.

One downside is that there needs to be something to shut the bedroom off from the kitchen/living area, especially for those with dogs who aren't allowed on the bed.
